Session2The scene opens with Winter Shadow having broken into the Hall of Records. Winter Shadow clears the evidence of his intrusion to the best of his ability and leaves. Believing that the information about the unpunished convicts is tied to the death of Dancing Cat's mother he heads to her family home... After resting the remainder of the night, Winter Shadow enters the compound in the morning, and meets with Mighty Incorruptible Flower Scholar inside. "Ah, Winter Shadow! Where were you last night?" asks Flower Scholar. "I have discovered something!" says Winter Shadow with a thin smile. "What!" cries Flower Scholar loudly, clapping his hand onto the table. "You have discovered something new about the murder of my wife? It's about time! It has been a long while since I first hired you to investigate for me and this is the first news I've heard!" "Well... no actually," Winter Shadow said quietly, "It's not about your wife's death, but something about the death of Dancing Cat's mother." "What!?" thunders Flower Scholar. "I didn't hire you to investigate for Dancing Cat! I hired you to find the killer of my wife!" "Ah, well, never mind. I didn't find anything of importance," sighs Winter Shadow in exasperation. "Wait," says Red Crane, overhearing the conversation. "You said that you had discovered something. What was it that you had discovered?" "Oh, nothing of importance. I discovered nothing." Winter Shadow shifted uneasily. "I don't believe you," Red Crane declares. Turning to Flower Scholar, he continues, "He's hiding something from us." "How could he be hiding something from us?" asked Flower Scholar. "He just said that he didn't discover anything." Red Crane blanched. "Flower Scholar, you... You are aware that people can lie?" "Well of course I know that. I have just never met anyone who has lied to me!" declares Flower Scholar with conviction. "Well... I believe he is lying to us now." concludes Red Crane. "Well then, how does one find out what he is keeping secret? As no one has ever lied to me before, I'm at a loss at what to do in this matter..." says Flower Scholar. "Well," Heaven's Eyes clears his throat, having heard this overly loud conversation while cleaning the bottom of the chairs and tables nearby. "When my old friends wanted to question people, they would take them to the river and dunk them under the water." "Hmm." Flower Scholar rubs his chin thoughtfully, eyeing Heaven's Eyes. "And this works?" "I believe so, at least for them anyway," replies Heaven's Eyes, surprised that he was being listened to. "Well then, that's what we'll do!" decides Flower Scholar. Flower Scholar and Red Crane take hold of Winter Shadow, leaving with Heaven's Eyes to the nearby river. Winter Shadow, utterly surprised by the turn of events, does not resist at all during the travel. "So, we are here," said Mighty Incorruptible Flower Scholar, and so they were. The river by Dancing Cat's home town was small and shallow. Summary Dunk Winter Shadow Meet Graceful Cat Graceful Cat speaks with Dancing Cat and uses Courtier Secret Arts on us
We plan to enter the Hall of records which fails. Winter Shadow is left alone at Hall of records and sees cult followers at the hall Winter Shadow beats them up Everyone meets up back at Hall Winter Shadow and Dancing Cat take 2 people away to interrogate Flower Scholar, Heaven's Eyes, and Red Crane stay to guard the cultists. Winter Shadow Cuts out cultist's Tongue. Flower Scholar and Co. are attacked. Heaven's Eyes runs away and meets Winter Shadow and Dancing Cat Fight happens and ends End of session dunno about everyone else, but Mike (4): Destiny: making Awareness roll and seeing Phil (therefore concluding it can't be Phil) Loyalty: blowing out of Jenn's family's place after the sister failed with Secret Arts Righteousness: taking command of guards vs the invaders Force: smashing [She Who Would Not Introduce Herself] into the ground |
